Couple pull out all the stops at extravagant Cornish Wedding
The Couple
Brett and Michelle met 5 years ago and it has been nothing but laughter and love ever since. Both being teachers and proud of their heritage, Brett (Cornish) and Michell (Welsh) proudly hung their flags at their wedding. Their love of life and having fun is contagious, and their wedding day was no exception.
The Venue
Brett and Michelle chose to get married in the stunning Pengenna Manor. A historic Manor House nestled into the Cornish Countryside. Boasting panoramic views of lush green fields and canopies of trees, this venue is perfect for those who love the outdoors and want the space to put on a variety of lawn games and entertainment. The array of outhouses that Pengenna have provided so many locations for different activities such as a kitchen, dancefloor and even a side room for guests to watch the Wales football match that was playing!
The Wedding Film
Brett and Michelle chose our Triple Threat package which consists of 2 videographers, 1 photographer, a portable photobooth and additional drone. They also chose to have a Marryoke of ‘I was made for loving you’ by Kiss. So this was an action packed day for everyone!
The lighting is perfect inside the Manor House. Allowing us to capture all the special moments of both Brett and Michelle’s preparations before the ceremony. Brett and Michelle’s close friend conducted the service providing lots of laughs. Once married we organised a confetti tunnel, this is one of our absolute favourite shots to do. The ultra slow-motion video adds so much, and its brilliant seeing how happy everybody is during this!
We then went on a private couples shoot around the grounds of Pengenna. We really made the most of the surrounding natural beauty. Capturing the gorgeous couple embracing each other through the dappled light of the tree canopy. As you can see in the teaser, these moments are perfect. This was then followed by a trip to the beach, where we brought out the smoke bombs. Who doesn’t love smoke bombs?!
As the day drew into night, the best man made his speech. Suitably for all of the teachers in the room, this was done as a quiz via Kahoot. This is a first for us and we hope to see more of these in future, it was a brilliant laugh! This was then followed by their first dance. Surrounded by their guests, Brett and Michelle had their first dance as husband and wife against the background of the setting sun. Then a live performance by the Tregony Teachers got everybody up and dancing. The atmosphere was electric and after some dancing everyone gathered on the front lawn for sparklers and fireworks.
We had such a great time at Brett and Michelle’s wedding. Check out some more of our work here.
