Bickley Mill Wedding Film
Ed & Lucy
Picture the scene: wedding guests are excitedly sitting down in preparation for the arrival of the bridal party as the Avengers theme tune plays. Now that’s truly a great way to get everyone hyped for a big blockbuster moment such as a first kiss, which is exactly what Ed and Lucy decided to do for their big day. Ed and Lucy chose our 4k cinematic drone package which was perfect for capturing their special day!
The beautiful Bickley Mill was the backdrop for the big day, set in a quiet valley surrounded by plenty of green. The rustic building and environment was partly chosen for Ed and Lucy’s love of exploring old buildings, as on the site is a unique derelict barn, which gave way for some unique video opportunities.
As Lucy spent the morning with her bridesmaids getting ready, Ed was busy showing off his epic themed shoes and cufflinks, as well as handcrafted rings. All of these little details are what really makes our videos personalised, and it’s even better when the content is so fun to capture.
After Lucy walked down the aisle to the Great British Bake Off theme song, and some heartfelt and deeply emotional personal vows, the two were finally married. Following this, the wedding party spent most of their time out in the beautiful summer sun, as we got to work capturing the natural interactions that occurred. The kids had plenty of fun with the outdoor party games and areas to explore, followed by a very fulfilling BBQ. Things only got better with the inclusion of Lucy’s homemade cakes, which we admit to having a fair share of as well (yum!).
Just before the speeches, we made the dash to capture the last of the beautiful sunlight during an intimate couple shoot. Walking around the grounds, we found beautiful areas of soft orange light, which gave a heavenly back glow to add to the atmosphere. This is our favourite time to shoot, so we really made the most of it, and we couldn’t be happier with the end results as you can see in the trailer.
The night continued and the celebrations formed into dancing. It’s always hard for us to actually stop and leave when the party is as lively as Ed and Lucy’s was, but because of their generous and friendly nature we simply had the best day ever.
